After studying these concepts for the world building of Exodus. The impression that this concept has left on me is the creation of an alien type environment this can be recognised through use of colour and the mood this reflects Erie and unknown also leaving you with a feeling of discomfort. The colours also give the impression that this is a very cold and very desolate landscape. Another thought I get from this work is that this environment is very natural and untouched in places of the world creating the perfect environment for alien creatures. An element that I feel has achieved well is the use of progression when showing the development of this landscape from sketch to fully coloured digital painting. Looking towards the illustration of the human eye I get the impression that this is a human who is trying to survive in these unorthodox circumstances from the look of sorrow in these characters eyes I understand that their must be a level of discomfort trying to live on this planet, I also really like the green particles that are brushing over the face they almost remind me of glitter and not something that we would find within the human world. It might be worth when it comes to your research looking into themes of magical realism. I think this is something you could connect to your concept to as your characters are so human like but almost cold and foreign at the same time. To take this project further I would introduce some alien characters that live in this world insight their homes and lives, this could include what an alien city would look like exited to see how your concept develops as we go on in our final year.
